Welcome to For The Deaf Girl. Whether you’re d/Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or curious about the wonderful world we deaf women experience, we are so glad you are here!

We are so excited to launch this special project that is near and dear to our hearts. It has been quite a journey of self-advocacy, storytelling, & acceptance. It all started with 5 d/Deaf girls with a passion for accessibility, equality & inclusivity. Our college years were already hard enough, let alone juggling the isolating journey of academic accommodations—seemingly alone. At For The Deaf Girl, we advocate for the social, emotional, vocational & educational support you deserve.

Our goal is to connect women of all ages and lifestyles with resources designed to help navigate the hearing world & connect each woman with her inner d/Deaf self & identity.

We hope this platform becomes a safe space for d/Deaf women to connect with other d/Deaf women. While hearing loss doesn’t define us, We believe intentional & accessible Deaf community is key.
